About

I'm Lazizbek Ravshanov. Founder and AI/ML engineer, originally from Uzbekistan, based in the US. I'm building Flowtrate, a rate intelligence platform closing the information gap between freight brokers and trucking carriers — giving owner-operators and small fleets the pricing data they need to negotiate fair rates in a $900 billion industry.

Before Flowtrate, my work in transportation and public safety produced several deployed systems: algorithmic detection of fraudulent carrier rebranding across 4.4M federal records (FleetSight), automated crash detection from live DOT highway camera feeds (ACRAS), LLM-powered diagnostics for commercial vehicle maintenance (ShopMule), and behavioral analytics for early academic disengagement detection (maintAIn — 3rd place, Education Track, IBM SkillsBuild AI Hackathon at Ohio State University).

What runs through all of it — the work and the writing — is a fascination with lopsided information: places where one side of a transaction has the data and the other doesn't. Trucking is full of them. So is public safety. I write here about what I find when I look closely at one.
